Beyond GDP

The Beyond GDP initiative seeks to improve measures of progress, wealth and well-being. In November 2007, the European Commission, European Parliament, Club of Rome, OECD and WWF hosted the high-level conference 'Beyond GDP'.

EEA (European Environment Agency) Indicators

The EEA publishes a wide variety of environmental indicators, including the EEA Core Set of Indicators.

Eurostat

Eurostat is the statistical agency of the European Union. Of particular relevance to the IN-STREAM project are Eurostat's collection of Structural Indicators and Sustainable Development Indicators.

EXIOPOL

The EXIOPOL project seeks to develop comprehensive estimates of the external costs for Europe of a broad set of economic activities. It also aims to set up a detailed environmentally extended Input-Output (I-O) framework with links to other socio-economic models, in order to enable estimation of environmental impacts and the external costs of economic activities.

INDI-LINK

The INDI-LINK project further improves EU sustainable development indicators, assesses the interlinkages among the different priorities of the renewed EU Sustainable Development Strategy and derives policy conclusions for its implementation.

OECD Progress Initiative

The Global Project on "Measuring the Progress of Societies' is a world wide reference point for those who wish to measure and assess the progress of their societies.

Stiglitz Commission

The Commission on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress, chaired by Nobel Prize-winning economist, Joseph Stiglitz, aims to identify the limits of GDP as an indicator of economic performance and social progress and to consider additional information required for the production of a more relevant picture.
